Questions shop owners ask about BillingApp
BillingApp is cloud billing, stock and accounting software for shops and distributors in Pakistan. These are the answers to what people ask before they sign up.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes — one month free with every feature unlocked, and no card. If it is not right for your shop, walk away and nothing is charged.
Does billing stop when the internet goes?
No. Sales taken offline are saved on the device and posted when you reconnect, and they cannot double-post. The receipt shows a temporary number that becomes the real bill number on sync.
Can I sell a single strip or tablet from a pack?
Yes. Enter units per strip and per pack on the item once, then sell by pack, strip or tablet on the same bill. The price is worked out from the pack price, and stock is kept in the smallest unit so the count is always exact.
Can I charge a wholesale rate on bulk orders?
Yes. Give an item a wholesale price and a minimum quantity — at or above that quantity, the wholesale price is applied on the bill by itself.
Will I know before medicines expire?
Yes. Record batch and expiry when you buy, or on your opening stock, and the expiry report lists what has already expired and what expires this month, next month, or within three or six months.
How do I keep track of udhaar?
Sell on credit to a named customer and the amount goes onto their account. Their ledger shows every bill and payment with a running balance, and you can send them the statement on WhatsApp.
Can my staff bill without seeing my profit?
Yes. Roles and permissions are set per user across sales, purchases, payments, reports and settings, so a counter operator sees the till and not your profit.
Is it available in Urdu?
Every screen, in English and Urdu. Switch language from the top of any page.
Will it print on my thermal printer?
Yes — 80mm thermal slips, and A5 or A4 documents on a normal printer. You choose per document, and your usual size is remembered.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
It stays yours. Ask us and we will export your customers, products and full transaction history in a standard format — we do not hold your books hostage.
Does BillingApp work with FBR or add sales tax to my bills?
FBR-connected invoicing is not included in BillingApp today. If you need it, contact us to discuss a separately quoted implementation and its delivery time. BillingApp does not add sales tax to customer sale bills. On a distributor's purchase bill it records the sales tax, the further tax and the advance tax (236H) exactly as printed, and checks the total against the paper.
Can you move my data from my old software?
Yes. We move customers, suppliers, products, stock and full transaction history. Receivables and payables are reconciled against your existing system and shown to match before you switch, old bill numbers are kept so your staff and customers still recognise them, and anything that does not tie is set aside and shown to you rather than quietly absorbed. It is quoted separately because it is real work.
How many users and businesses does it support?
Basic is one business with one user. Standard is one business with three users and roles. Enterprise is multiple businesses with unlimited users. Extra users are PKR 1,000 a month each and extra businesses PKR 2,500 a month each.
How do I sign up, and do I need an email address?
Enter your WhatsApp number on the sign-in page, receive a six-digit code and type it in. An account and a business are created in that one step. No email address and no password are needed.

Can I keep my own WhatsApp number?
Yes, if it is on the WhatsApp Business app. Connecting it leaves the number on your phone, so you can still chat there. A personal WhatsApp number is refused until you move it to the WhatsApp Business app. The shop's click-to-chat link keeps working before you connect. The order bot runs only on the number you connected. BillingApp's shared number sends receipts and does not take standing orders. Meta bills its conversation fees to your own WhatsApp account.
