Terms of service

1. Your account

• Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep them up to date.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account, including the staff you add and the permissions you give them. Keep sign-in codes and passwords to yourself, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.
• You must be at least 18 and entitled to act for the business.

2. Your data

The records you keep in BillingApp are yours. You allow us to store and process them only so far as needed to provide BillingApp to you, as the privacy policy describes. You are responsible for having the right to record the personal details of your customers, suppliers and staff, and for keeping them accurate. You can ask us for a copy of your records at any time.

3. WhatsApp messages to your customers

When you switch on WhatsApp receipts, BillingApp sends a message from its own WhatsApp number, in your business's name, to the customer or supplier a payment is recorded for. By switching them on you confirm that:

• the people you record have given you their number and would expect to hear from you about their payments and balances;
• you will stop messages to anyone who asks you to; and
• you will use the feature in line with WhatsApp's Business and Commerce policies.

Replies are shown to you on the Messages screen as the privacy policy describes. We may switch the feature off for a business that misuses it or draws complaints, and WhatsApp itself may limit or refuse messages for its own reasons.

4. Online shops

When you publish an online shop, you are the seller. Your prices, stock, descriptions, delivery, refunds and exchanges are yours to set and honour, and an order is an agreement between you and the shopper. You must not offer anything that is illegal to sell in Pakistan or that you have no right to sell.

5. AI features

BillingApp's assistant and other AI features suggest, draft and describe; they can be wrong. Check what they produce before you rely on it. Anything they prepare in your books is a draft until you post it, and what you post is your responsibility.

6. Accounting and tax

BillingApp is a tool for keeping your records; it is not accounting, tax or legal advice. You are responsible for your books, your tax returns and your compliance with the law, including how long you must keep records.

7. Fees

Prices are as quoted to you by us or shown on our website. Trials end on the date given. If fees are not paid, we may limit paid features after telling you; you can still ask for a copy of your records.

8. Fair use

You must not:

• use BillingApp for anything unlawful, or to send spam;
• try to reach another business's data, probe or attack the service, or interfere with its working;
• copy, resell or reverse-engineer BillingApp, or give access to it as a service.

9. Availability

We work to keep BillingApp running, secure and backed up, and the point of sale can keep selling without internet. But no online service can promise to be available at every moment or free of faults, and we do not. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot do without.

10. Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit, lost sales or lost data, and our total liability to you in connection with BillingApp is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Ending the service

You may stop using BillingApp at any time and ask us to delete your account, as described on our data deletion page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why where we can.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and significant changes are announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use BillingApp after that means you accept them.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts at Lahore have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
